In the world of self-development there are so many tips for increasing productivity thrown at us. I have seen and tried countless. The one daily habit that truly can make the difference in accomplishing more in the same amount of time is a simple one. Almost so simple we might not believe it will work…
Step One – Each night before bed, write down THE six things you will get done the next day.
Step Two – Each morning, review your list and work first at getting those six things accomplished. No matter what.
Step Three – Each night review what you accomplished that day.
Step Four – Repeat each night/day.
Like I said this sounds so simple. I have been doing the first step for quite a while. When I do step one and step two together, I am amazed how much I have accomplished that day. Usually more than those six tasks! Imagine the snowball effect if we did this for even one week!
This habit will help us prioritize how we spend our time each day. Quite often, we put off tasks that are challenging, time-consuming or otherwise daunting. Following this daily habit, we hold ourselves accountable for how we use our limited 24 hours in a day.
Test it out and let us know on Facebook all that you have accomplished!
